Description
Capacitive touch is being used on more and more interfaces, but the challenges of designing and building a touch system that always works the way that it should can be a costly endeavor.  Thresholds used to sense a touch are incredibly sensitive to variance caused by manufacturing imperfections and environmental changes, like temperature, water or wearing gloves,  which can lead to long development times, poor performance and field failures. However, if thresholds could be replaced with intelligent touch signatures that identify the exact moment a touch occurs while fundamentally ignoring the variances that can cripple conventional touch systems, touch could integrate faster and work better, without field failures.  Learn about an emerging technology that uses Heuristic Signature Sensing to overcome manufacturing and environmental variance, drive haptics responses more crisply, and unlock new touch interface features.
