Timothy Fahey is founder and president of Nexus Consulting, providing subject matter expertise for new business development with specific focus in electronic materials and devices. In addition, Tim co-leads a regional innovation cluster on additive manufacturing in partnership with America Makes and Youngstown Business Incubator. He also serves as entrepreneur-in-residence for additive manufacturing start-ups in NE Ohio, mentoring innovators in AM materials, machines and printing. Mr. Fahey previously led FlexMatters, a cluster of flexible electronics companies in Northeast Ohio, facilitating product development and commercialization opportunities. His clients included manufacturers of materials and devices in printed and flexible electronics, including electronic shelf labels, user interface devices, smart packaging, printed batteries, medical diagnostics, wearable and stretchable materials, LCD displays, and LED lighting. Tim has over 25 years of experience in strategic business planning, new business development and market entry. He was CEO of Five Star Technologies, a manufacturer of electronic inks & pastes, where he was instrumental in creating the company's market vision in printed electronics. Prior to Five Star, Tim created and led the static control business of BF Goodrich, growing a start-up acquisition into a global supplier of materials to the display, hard disk drive and semiconductor markets. Previously, he led numerous technology groups at BF Goodrich, Raychem Corporation and Lonza, Inc. His expertise in conductive materials includes pioneering work on printed self-limiting heaters. He holds 11 U.S. and six international patents. Tim has Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Macromolecular Science from Case Western Reserve University.
