Since obtaining her PhD in Synthetic Inorganic Chemistry from the University of Manchester in 2005, Josie has been leading the development of novel ink formulations at Domino Printing Sciences.  In her current position as Ink Technology Manager Josie plays a leading role in the research and expansion of the company's ink portfolio, where she has directed the development of numerous new designs across Domino's printer platforms.    As well as new product development, she is also interested in the introduction of novel technologies, capabilities and materials and is particularly interested in how inkjet methods can be used to deposit innovative materials for new applications.   Josie also has an interest in the role of technology in new product development and has recently been exploring opportunities for automated product development processes and the part that artificial intelligence and machine learning has to play.   Josie is a Chartered Chemist (CChem) and Chartered Scientist (CSci), and has recently completed a postgraduate diploma in Strategy and Innovation at the University of Oxford.
