Harry Steen received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design (MCAD). After earning his degree, Steen worked as Advertising Director for Rainbow Foods, a Minneapolis-based grocery chain (40+ stores). During his tenure with Rainbow Foods, Steen was recognized with many industry awards including: NAWGA Admark Best in Show, FMI Women’s Day Ad Awards First Place, and Best of Show - Reggie Award among a few.

In 2000 Steen joined SUPERVALU’s Store Design Services (SDS) as
Creative Director. Responsible for environmental design & creative direction for SUPERVALU and independent stores, both domestic and international totally over 1300 respectively.

In 2006, Steen received the prestigious NASFM Retail Design Award - Grocery Store of the Year for his Highland Park design. Following years, he has received ARE Design awards for Pine Hills Market, Star Market - Chestnut Hill, Pequot lakes Supervalu
SADI Award and Progressive Grocer Store Design Contest - Runner Up
Best Overall Design Mega Foods.

Steen’s work has been featured in multiple industry publications VMSD, DDI, Chain Store Age, Progressive Grocer, Gourmet Retailer and Retail Traffic. In Steen’s personal time, he continues to create impressionistic multi-media paper expressions and live the dream!
